On my 36th birthday, I went and got the tattoo that meant so much to me during my adoption process and postplacement.
Everyone would always ask my most hated question “How are you?” AndI would respond “I’m FINE” when honestly I was not fine one bit. I wanted to scream SAVE ME! I mean how did you think I was doing? You know the situation and if you thought it was rainbows and unicorns then you’re stupider than I thought. For those that asked, please don’t take this personal and if you are, I am sorry.
When I saw an article about Bekah Miles and her inspiring tattoo regarding her battle with depression. I need this on my wrist but was too afraid and then when again, deep in the darkness, I got it. Every day, I see SAVE ME and my response is always I’M FINE!
Every day I get better and one day, I will mean I’M FINE when I say
